I'm thankful for

Thanksgiving has always been something really sunday school-ish and boring for me.
I never really understood the meaning of being grateful until a couple years ago.. Even then it was just partial understanding. Moving out and not relying on my parents has been a long road so far and at some times really scary. The past six months have been such a roller coaster but totally worth the ride. I'm so lucky that I have some amazing people in my life. I'd like to thank them via blog and also in real life when I see them next.

Firstly, god. You're not exactly a person but I thank you for my life every morning when I wake up and every night when I go to bed. (or vice versa, at least you understand how crazy my sleep schedule is) You are the one that made my life possible and my chance to coexist with these amazing people. Thank you for everything. You're doing an awesome job, man.
Secondly, My Husband. You support me in everything I do. You married me for a reason and I try to find that reason every day. I know I have some problems but your love in unconditional. That's why we will last in the long run. We don't have to force ourselves to talk to each other and try not to fight. We were made for each other. I love everything about you. Your eyes, your smile, your hair, your laugh, your high times, your low times, your attitude, your sense of humor, your bad days, your good days, your tangents, your complaints, your triumph and your tribulation. The bottom line is that I think you shit gold, Warts and all. You're everything to me. The reason I get up and smile. You make me so happy baby. You make me smile even when I don't want to. I'm so proud to be your wife. I love you Infinity.
My family has become a pretty big deal to me within the last six months. I actually do believe that I took them for granted all this time. I love my brothers and my sister, even when I don't like them. Being clear across town from them is such a hard thing for me to do sometimes. I cry when I miss my mom. Especially when I go shopping or anything that reminds me of her. I'm so lucky she's only a phone call away. I'm thankful that she put up with all of my bridezilla demands and she helped me so much throughout the planning process of my wedding. Not to mention the 19 years and 9 months she's had to deal with me. hahaha! You're the best, mom.
I want to shout out to my dad especially for being such an awesome provider for all these years. He made my wedding possible this year and never complained about all the money we were spending or all the work he did on the yard. He's helped me and my husband out so much financially post-wedding. He got a car running for me and some new tires for Brooks so unexpectedly & right when we needed those things the most. I don't know anyone with a dad like mine. He definitely has a big place in my heart. I'm such a daddy's girl.
My Aunt Cinnie (for those of you who don't know Cinnie is short for Cynthia) has been an amazing awesome incredible phenomonal help during the past six months-- Pre-wedding and Post-wedding. She made all of the food at my recepetion except for the fruit kabobs. like whoa! that alone is a HUGE accomplishment. After the wedding Brooks' pay was cut exponentially. When she heard about it, she called me and helped us out so much with food storage&shopping. We didn't really know how to say thanks, because it was a total understatement. They need to have a word that means unexpressible gratitude beyond comprehension. Sometimes you love me too much but I don't realize there's nothing wrong with that! I love her from the bottom of my heart-- muto, muto, muto. (if you're reading this, you know exactly what that means.)
My in laws, Mary(MIL), Ashley, Courtney, Vanessa and Priscilla. You guys are all so special in your own way. Mary is great at giving compliments and being so caring about us in every aspect. Ashley is a great listener and so sweet. I love the way she always has something good to say. Courtney is the middle child and she is really fun to hang out with when she's in a good mood. She is great at making me laugh and talking about everything. We like alot of the same things and I look forward to growing closer to her. Vanessa is the coolest. She is going to be a big singer someday, so watch out guys. She always has something nice to say about the way I look (she usually likes my hair or makeup) and she thinks I look like taylor swift. I don't really think so, but I'll take that as a compliment Tswizz is gorgeous!! Priscilla is growing up so much. She is the youngest and the princess. She loves it too! I love helping her with her homework and playing games with her. She is so silly sometimes and brings out the child in me. I love all of you equally and abundantly. I'm so thankful you're all my sisters. I hope one of these days I can make a neice/nephew for you guys, just know I'm trying the best I can!
Alexis Christine Barnard is my husband's best friend. We have been through so much in the last four years. We almost walked out of each others lives SO many times. We have gone through the biggest fight and the biggest triumph. You were the one that made me cry at my wedding ceremony. That's how big of an impact you have on my life. You've hated me then loved me again so easily and that shows the true character of a person. I'm so grateful that you've forgiven me so that I have a part in your life. You make me so happy when we're together reminiscing about high school crushes and good times. You're so good at making me laugh and comforting me when things get really bad. Whether we like it or not, we're stuck. Brooks is the glue and I choose to love you. No matter what happens. No matter what you do or don't do. You'll always be one of the best friends I've ever had.Christie and Shawn Sunyich have had an amazing impact on our lives for the last year. They are Brooks' second mom and dad and its pretty safe to say that they would probably adopt us. Shawn has given Brooks some amazing business opportunities that he has yet to reach his potential in. We owe him so much for giving us the best opportunity in the world. Again, insert that word that means unexpressible gratitude beyond comprehension. Christie has offered to let us move in with them for a little while so we can get back on our feet again which is an incredible opportunity business-wise. We are so excited to be in a positive environment and get our business going!!

Maranda and Lacey are my best friends but I kind of feel like our friendship is dwindling. I really love that I can cry on their shoulder and walk away with the biggest smile. Maranda is the master of all compliments and the sweetest little lady. I love her peppy attitude and her gung-ho nature. She saved a big part in her heart for me, for sure. Lacey is always there to listen. I'm not usually a big talker unless I have a problem to resolve. She has a "mom" type of comforting and makes me feel so wonderful no matter what's happening in my life. she's my pain reliever and fever reducer, she makes everything better. They are so supportive and such positive people to have in my life. I love you both with my whole heart and nothing less:)

Liz Duffy is my Brooks' good friend and ex roommate. We only recently met, just a few months ago but already, you are so sweet and so supportive even though you have so much going on in your life. Its hard to say that about most people. You are a wonderful mother and such a great friend. I love your spunky attitude and your way of cheering me up. God knows I need it. I look forward to our friendship and I know it only gets better from here. Love you!

God knows I need people like you:)
Thank you so much for always being there. I love you all!
Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween 2009

Brooks and I spent Halloween with my parents and brothers this year.
We carved pumpkins the day before and I had the bright idea of carving a piggy pumpkin in the light of the scariest thing around this year, SWINE FLU.
I bought my costume on ebay about a month early and got it for about 4$ (its regularly $49.99!)
I tried and tried to get my husband to dress up.
I knew that everyone at the party would be dressed up and didn't want him to feel left out.
he said it was fine and he went not dressed up but everyone kind of talked him into doing SOMETHING. so, he painted his face and wore a wig and hat.
I'm not exactly sure what he looked like, you can decide. haha
My mom dressed up as a gypsy and my dad was dressed as the puppeteer from Pinocchio.
mind you, my mom made BOTH of these costumes.

My little brother, Jared dressed as a "redneck", though he hardly dressed up. all he had to do was put a wig on, and voila!! (he's already a hick)

Here's a picture of me trying on his wig. hahaha

My other little brother, Clancy dressed up as something scary that slips my mind right now.. I'm not sure if we got a picture of it :( we didnt.

We had a spook ally in the basement for the kids and had an amazing turn-out for the adult party. My parents had such a great time hosting this party and I'm glad that they did.
My mom subpoenaed him two days later for a divorce so I tried to savor the moment of my family being happy together for one last time.
